See The Galapagos with Me!

It really was the trip of a lifetime but I'd be lying if I didn't say that, in all honesty, the Iguanas gave me a little pause when we were talking about taking this trip!  I know, I know, you're thinking "that's just crazy".  The iguanas are no joke in the Galapagos. You walk AROUND them because they are often lying in your path and they aren't moving!  They are also usually asleep or at least that's how they looked through my VERY LONG zoom lens (read that as, Janice stayed as far away as possible in the photographing of the iguanas!).

The wildlife in the Galapagos was everything our trip research promised.  I'm usually freaked out by birds but the bird life here is beautiful and so unlike anything I'd ever seen.  The sea lions are fun to watch and we often found them on sidewalks or park benches in town in Puerto Ayora, on Santa Cruz Island.  The Sally Lightfoot crabs look like they have been immersed in a paintbox and they never failed to keep my attention for long periods just because they are beautiful! Everything you've heard about the size of the Galapagos turtles is true and they are graceful in their own lumbering way.
December in the Galapagos felt a lot like June in Columbia, right before we get the heavy humidity.  We wore sunscreen with 100 spf every day and were happy to have it since the islands sit at the equator.

If you get a chance to visit the Galapagos, take a page from my book and GO!! 😎
